How do I replace the motor shaft cover on cuisinart DLC-7?

I have the new part, but cannot figure out how to remove the old motor shaft cover to replace it.

Lois,
I just picked up a cuisinart food processor that has a broken shaft cover. I picked away at the old plastic one that was glued to the metal shaft very carefully with a small sharp chisel to remove all the old material.
