The unit displays CODE---- I know the security code but nothing happens when I press the first Pre set key three times to enter the first digit of the security code. Am I right in assuming a number should appear in the display corresponding to the number of times you hit the key.eg in this case the digit 3. or am I missing a step in the procedure.

1-Turn the ignition switch to "ACC" or "ON".2- Press the "PWR/VOL" knob once.The display will begin flashing the frequency"87.5". Then do one of the following:Wait about 4 minutes until the display begins flashing the word "CODE". -or- Press the "PWR/VOL" knob two times. The display will begin flashing the word "CODE". 3-With "CODE" flashing you press your preset 1 a sufficient number of times to represent the first digit of the code,press preset 2 a sufficient number of times to represent the second digit of your code,press preset 3 a sufficient number of times to represent the third digit of your code,press preset 4 a sufficient number of times to represent the fourth digit of your code. That should do it. Hope this helps
