a wire on limited edition hotpoint 1000 wm52?

a brown wire attached to the door has come off from its other end we thought we knew where it went but there is no power could you please help me

was it off from the switch? you may have a faulty switch or door lock worst of all this may have blown the control unit

i checked brown wire was in position but we are still getting no power. i've also checked the fuse and thats ok.
