is there a common fault with vw sharan 2003 gearbox/flywheel?

car has been making a loud noise and is reluctant to drive,now engine is shaking i am told this is the flywheel and its a common fault is this true

hey ayman, have the same prob on my VW V5 2.3, the dual mass flywheel is the problem, makes the car shake when accelerating
