I cleaned my Pioneer DVR-310 with a disc cleaner and now it only reads CDs and not DVD's. It won't even pick up blank DVD-Rs. Can it be fixed economically?

Wow, I have the same problem with the same DVD recorder. I've used 3 different DVD cleaners and they all read cd. If you unplug the recorder for a few minutes then plug it back in it'll operate normally for a while. This is only a temporary fix though. If you find a solution please let me know.
