What can I do to fix Washing Machine Hotpoint Ultima WT741?

On certain washes the Led display on my washing machine Hotpoint Ultima WT741 reads F12 and the whole thing stops. The only way I can get the machine to do anything is to switch off the electricity supply to reset it.
