This FF has been making strange noises from new ( not fan noise ). Recently I have noticed the metal strip on the front between the fridge and freezer compartments is very hot to touch. I also now think the compressor is running most of the time. Any ideas?

mY 0ne Is the same or was ! NOW awaiting outside for collection local council didnt make 2yrs. Within a week door fell off. lasted 18mths red light came on lost food had it regassed ok for three days light came back on with bangs and groans regassed again told probably leaking internaly , best to ditch it as the engineer told me that this is not the first one by far this model a load of rubbish should never have been allowed into country, just adds to landfill.this joined by food being destroyed twice, told by HOTPOINT INDESIT it was quite acceptable as it exceeded warranty period ,tough. couldnt give a \x***

I have the same issue. Although this is in a home that I recently purchased, so I dont know the history.
I too would like to know if this is expected or not and if not, then how to fix it.
