This Shredder will work when I try to back paper out of it, but it will not shred paper. I had a paper jam, cleaned all paper out-still will not work. This shredder is about 10 yrs old. There is no plastic where I put the paper to be shredded, but there is a thin wire. Can you tell me what is wrong? Where would I take it to be fixed? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

This machine should have an electronic paper feed sensor not a mechanical one. without more info I cannot troubleshoot further. Contact Fellowes Customer Service at 1-800-945-4545.

I have a fellowes ps-62C and the same thing happened to me, I have replaced the machine once and it has happened again, on both occasions I opened up the shredder and found that the cheap plastic that surrounds the blades was broken and stopping the blades from functioning. Workied fine after putting the plastic in place, but there is obviosly a design fault with the version I have. Might be worth opening it up to check the wire.
