How can i repair retractable blinds?

I have the kind of blinds where you simply grab the slats in the bottom and push them up...no need to use a cord.

Suddenly, two of them don;t work. I've look at the mechanisms and haven'[t quite figured them out yet. Any advice?

I just figured out how to fix my retractable blind. Mine has four spools on the inside plus a housing for the thin nylon cord. There is also a cotton type thicker cord which runs through the fabric/shade part of the blind. The thicker cords come up through two holes on the bottom of the housing unit. On one side it loops around two spools. On the other side it also loops around two more spools. You should see an area where the thin nylon cord is tied to the thicker cord as it loops over the spools. My blinds cord, where the two cords attach, had become stuck in between the housing and one of the 4 plastic spools. I took a flat edge small screwdriver and gently pulled out a little of the thicker cord to put it back on the wheel. It's operating great now.
