my ariston washer /dryer has just been moved and the functions dial when switched on keeps clicking round without doing anything

I too am having the exact same problem. Before I found myself in this situation, the normal cycle started with a grinding/creaking noise. It then seemed to be working fine so I went to bed. When I woke up, the wash dial is constantly clicking over.
