How do I stop my Ideal Standard Close Couple toilet running?

With an old fashioned toilet I just used to take the lid off the cistern and look inside - with this toilet with its push button mechanism, I can't even figure out how to get the lid off!! Can someone explain how? It is surely very easy. Thanks.

dependant on the toilet system you may find that twisting the complete button will unscrew it allowing you to lift the lid.

Remove two buttons by levering them up with small screw driver, under neath is one screw remove it and then the lid can be removed.
