Optima boiler?

Wish to take my little used optima 901 off the wall to re-skim and then re-place.Been told from local pub gas fitter that this is un-advisable with optima boilers as 'they are never the same'
can this be true?..any help gratefully recieved..Tommo

its ok, but u have a high risk the pipes will not line up and the flue being too short, its not worth the hassle
