GE Microwave Handle Replacement?

I am trying to replace the handle on my GE Spacemaker Microwave. I removed the top screw and popped out the rim on the inside of the door. Now I'm having trouble getting the bottom screw out. This is where the handle broke. What am I doing wrong.

Thanks for any help!

I am having same problem. I found exploded view of microwave and it appears the front plastic trim (called Door-A) piece has to come off the front of the metal door piece which holds the glass. The top & bottom screws that hold the handle can then be accessed. There are clips and cone-like fastners (2 top & bottom)which have to be worked off - but I can't figure out how to get the cone-like fastners off without breaking them!
