We have turned our two storage heaters on this year and both are not working do they work with a thermostat as it does seem funny that they are both not coming on. Last year they were both working properly although they are quite old models. We have no fuse problems as everything is ok do they have a core inside that need replacing. How efficient are they to central heating?

I know storage heaters inside out as I was a designer of them from 1974. They are very simple but you need to be a competent electrician and conversant with them to be SAFE. So find yourself an electrician or someone who knows . There is a co in Clitheroe Lancs - Capri Electrical Developments Ltd tel 01 200 425070 who know heaters and supply all parts for all manufacturers. They have an internet site with illustrated parts lists.
