How can I fix a trackpoint mouse?

My old thinkpad 600E laptop's trackpoint mouse has stopped working. It will respond to movment but the curser zips from one side of the screen to another. The curser also sometimes moves slowly in one direction when I'm not touching the mouse at all. Can anyone help me?

You need to let it alone for a while to settle down when it moves slowly. They are not repairable you'd need to change the whole keyboard.
