How do I get my model 17 ISE waste disposer to swich off?

I have a batch feed model 17 ISE waste diposer, but when I remove the plug, it carries on going. How do I fix this?

The batch feed switch (a push button) activated with the cover is stuck in the on position. Replace switch or remove it and ungum it.
