How can I turn off the blinking drum light to use my Sharp AL-1631 copier?

I have a Sharp AL-1631 copier. I changed the drum assembly with a refurbished drum assembly bought from an online store...before the drum light (which was on steady) started to blink. Even though it made copies with the new drum, the drum light never went out (as the manual said it would). When the copier count got to 36000 copies, the drum light began to blink and the copier stopped. Since we have a new drum in the copier, is there any way to get the drum light off so we can use the copier?

there is a code that removes the blinking light once you have replaced the drum you should contact sharp for the code. You have to push the clear button and the button under the auto and alternate. then you have to put in a code

the drum unit may not have been refurbished properly, there is a lever in the drum unit which maybe hasn't been reset correctly. When you fit the drum this lever moves & resets the counter. you should contact the people who supplied the drum.
