PHONES DON'T WORK?

I HAVE MODEL GH9762 AND THE HEAD SETS DONT WORK. ONE SAYS DIAL WITH A ? NEXT TO IT WHEN I GO TO DIAL AND THE OTHER ONE DOES NOT TURN ON. THE BAS DOES RING. I DID CHARGE THE BATTERIES FOR 12 HOURS BEFORE USE. I DONT'T SEE ANY OF MY PROBLEMS IN THE MANUAL.
