Fix Fault Durabrand

My portable durabrand dvd player says open when it is closed how can I fix it

I have had this unit since 2006.Today when I attempted to record a VHS onto the DVD using the disc to dvd copy mode the DVD keeps ejecting the disc when i put it in

I have a dvd player by Durabrand & lost cord to recharge maufactured 2006 .I still hve the cord to charge it in car cigarette lighter .where can I purchace a new or used recharge wire .?
