Fix Fault Sanyo

Left my camcorder in cold room + it got damp + now won't switch on at all,even wen plugged in mains + dried out

My camcorder will record' fast foward and rewind but will not play, i have also used the remote control to see if that would work but still the same problem as above. can you help. thanks

When I try to record, play, forward, rewind i get an flashing error saying CASSETTE and nothing happens. The camera is very old, is there a fix?
