Why does my icemaker leak water?

We have a model # 363 77575791 Kenmore freezer/fridg. When we bought the house the icemaker was not working. Was told that it had been replaced, however it continued to leak water......alot of water. We do not have the owners manual to begin to locate potential problem. Anyone have ideas?
