i turned the vacuum on one day as usual and when i removed pressure from the switch it went off again. i opened it up thing it wiould be spring loaded but its not. now the only way to use it is to tape the red switch down constantly. does anyone know how to fix the switch?

Buy a new push switch - they are easy to replace! I just did it and it cost me £6.00
