How do I delete messages on my Durabrand DT201 telephone?

I've got a full message box, and I can't find the instruction booklet. I've tried pressing delete all, but I seem to recall when I bought this phone that the instructions were a bit complicated to start with.

1. press menu / ok button twice.

msg mode displayed

2. press "0" AND HOLD. all messages deleted.

3. press exit button twice to return to handset.

Press "1" and hold it down so that it goes into message mode. Then press and hold down "0" (zero) to delete all messages.
