faster pictures?

i have a lumicron LDC 618 digital camera and i want to speed the camera up because it seems to take a while to be ready to take the next picture, apart from this my camera is really good takes brilliantly clear pictures, so if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.

Thanks Al i bought a new memory card ultra 11 cost £15 off internet tried it didnt make it any faster at all i think the camera is too old thanks anyway i have bought a new kodak c713 and it is 10 times faster so the card has come in handy becauase they say with this type of card it uses less battery life. The only thing you can do to speed it up is get a faster memory card. I got a Sandisk Ultra II compact flash flash for an old Mintolta camera and it halved the time taken to save an image and allow the next shot to be taken.
