i purchased a funai dvd / video cassette recorder HDR-B2735. I find I cant play any of my tapes which were recorded on my old recorder, the sound is muffled on all of them. Everything else works fine. Shop bought recorded tapes play okay and it tapes and plays back okay. What is the problem, can I fix it? can you help?

I figured it out myself, thanks, I bought a gold scart lead and it now works fine.
