How do I change the fuel filter on my LT1000 Craftsman tractor?

My Craftsman lawn tractor was just used for the second time this season. It suddenly started losing power. At first, I needed to have the choke on to make it run. Then it started losing power, coming back to full power, losing power, etc. I checked the oil filter and cleaned it (wasn't really very dirty) and I'm pretty sure I found the fuel filter but I can't figure out how to get it off the line. Can anyone help?

If the fuel filter is in-line, there will be a clip on each side of it on the hose (c clips total) use a pair of pliers to release the clip and slide it down the hose. Once both clips are off, pull lines off fuel filter. You can go to www.briggsandstratton.com too. They have a link for changing fuel filters.
