I have a Potterton Profile 80e boiler that keeps needing to be reset?

My Potterton Profile 80e boiler occassionally will not fire up and the reset switch needs to be pushed. Then everything works fine. Normally this happens at night and there is no hot water for a shower etc in the morning!

It used to work fine until I had a corgi registered heating engineer service it. He said something about a seal that had broken needed replacing. However, he has not been back and will not return my calls.

Before I try to get another engineer I would like some help please. If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatfully received.

Hi there, the reset button on my boiler is underneath at the front. There is a hole about the size of a 10p, if you insert your finger and push on the plastic pin, it should reset the boiler. However, allow it a few minutes to respond and fire up.
Good luck
Kev

PS Mine is still not working. Going to have to call in the big boys soon I think........ :o(

Hi

I am having problems with my Ptotterton Profile 80E as well. Could you please let me know where the reset button is as I can't seem to find it (and I have unscrewed the main cover - post switching main off). Thanks
