how do i get the service light togo out on vw golf 2.0 tdi 2005

Put the key in the ignition. Press and hold the tripometer button, while holding this button turn the ignition on (do not turn the engine). The service indicator will read either OIL, INS 1 or INS 2 (it may also say SERVICE on later models) Now turn your clock adjuster knob clockwise to the right (it does twist only very slightly) and hold it there until 3 dashed lines appear where it once read OIL etc... repeat this process until all service indicators change to 3 dashed lines.

press & hold the right button on the clocks.switch ignition on.the word service will appear in the trip recorder display.release the right button.twist the left side button to the right to reset the display.switch ignition off.job done
