I Have a sony DCR-TRV255E Which records sound but no picture?

Hi Guys,

I have the above Videc Camera, Iit has worked well for years but suddenly it has stopped recording any picture. I can't even see anything through the standard veiw screen.

Does this sound like it can be fixed or is it time to open my wallet again?
