I have a Canon MV450i and each time I put in a mini DV tape it tells me to eject it. When I try I find the tape looped around the pick up and have to shake it to get it out. I have tried winding various tapes backwards and forwards by hand but problem persists.

Can I mend this myself - how?

I have the same problem and have not been able to fix it. Canon have been totally unhelpful despite having been an approved canon retailer! I will persist and let you know if I am successful.. Steve.
