I have a Toyota Corolla that has a broken door lock. It is a manual lock and I think I could fix it if I could figure out how to get the door panel off. Does anyone know how to remove the door panel of a 1996 Toyota Corolla. And...do you know what needs to be done to repair the door lock. It can only be opened from the inside and the key can not be used from the outside.

You can start by inserting a screw driver between the door and the lining. those hooks will start coming one by one. Dont get scared if you have to use some force. those are tight hooks, even if you break few, those are very very cheap from walmart.
Trick is to remove the door opening latch. you have to really rotate the lining to 90 degrees to take it out. That will need patience. so be prepared for it. Then slowly remove the water=proof liningfrom the glue and do watever you want.
CAUTION: if you have front door speakers, please do not forget to disconnect the wires.
