how to replace the belt on my bissell pro heat?

I have a bissell pro heat carpet cleaner model # 8910 and the belt was chewed up. I have the replacement belt, but I don't understand were it attaches to the unit. I have the belt around the brush bar but I don't see anything to attach the belt to (Motor). Please help??? Thanks

The top part of the belt goes around the small red knob at the top. It also drives something else but should be in place. It is pretty much obscured by the side covering. Once you look inside that, it becomes easier to see how it is done. You can download the User Manual from the bissell website....go to bissell.com and then click on international to get to the UK site. The manual is a PDF document but it has the information that I think you want. My Proheat gets clogged with dogs hairs and this type of thing is what puts a stress on the roller and belt. Try giving the belt area a really good clean now and again to increase the life of the belt.
