Loss of pressure in ferrolli Hawk 2?

Ferrolli Hawk 2 loses pressure through the expansion overflow (it drips outsde)but works fine as long as i fill it up everday. Is it something simple or do i need a new boiler cos the flowrate on the hot water i crap anyway. cheers for any help martin

HI i've changed the pressure relief valve its better but its still losing a little pressure now thinking of changing the expansion vessel, does anyone know if its abig job on this boiler

its just a faulty or sticking pressure relief valve. these can sometimes be re seated by opening them to let the water past and dislodging whatever is sticking it open. but even a new pressure relief valve is under 20 quid. trace the pipe back through the wall to the boiler and it will connect into the pressure relief valve (prv) the top of the prv is either red or black, just turn it, about a quarter turn, it will be tight and you will hear the water rush out of it. then it will click and you will hear it slam shut. repeat this a few times, topping it up if neccessary.

Any idea how much a new one would cost fitted?

you need a new expansion vessel to cure pressure problem. the flow rate could be blocked filter etc or poor supply pressure. combi's do generally run quite slow as its heating the water as it passes through.
