I have a 3 year old AEG Favorit 40850 dishwasher - the wash tablet drops out of the holder but stays in the bottom of the dishwasher throughout the cycle and does not dissolve
check top and bottom spray arm holes for blockages.if you do straight wash cycles without pre wash/rinse then you could always put the tablet on the stainless filter,instead of using the detergent compartment
