presuming old style.using a BLUNT flexible butter knive,cut,gouge and scrape the old putty from the window untill u can see the bottm edges.remove the pieces of broken pane.some samll pins will also be there ,remove.when clear of glass.scrape all old putty from rebate.refitting:roll out small snakes of putty to stick on back of rebate.press glass onto themfirmly they should squash to make a continuious seam behind the glass.carefully tap 4 small pins into wood so as they hold glass in place then press a fillet of putty onto the edges of the pane.smoothdown with linseed oil to match existing panes
