No dial tone?

I have just moved house and can't get a dial tone on my BT Synergy 3005 yet I can on a cheap corded phone. How do I get it to work

Just had exactly the same problem; checked the manual - said only to use phone cable supplied with phone; swapped to another cable - even though it looked identical to the one I had used - and it worked straight away
