ive found that a lot of my white shirts, jumpers etc are covered in yellow dots. I believe this is caused by hard water and that using lemon juice with salt can help, but this process would take a long because there are a lot of them. Is there anything that you can buy in the UK that will remove these stains?

Possibly try Oxy Clean or Spray n Wash?
They are good products for something like that.
