whirlpool AWM 6120 - 6K washing machine door open fault?

I have a whirlpool AWM 6120 - 6K washing machine which has a problem with the door open sensor.
It will drain, but as soon as you put it on any sort of cycle involve spin or fill, the door open sensor light keeps flashing.
Any suggestions?
