i have moved and inherited a veritas 8c alarm , i have tryed to change the user code , by following the instructions read on a previous question.
enter code
press program
enter 60
and so on
after all this the alarm does not iluminate any zones to accept the new code and reverts back to the previous code
can anybody help ?

Does your existing code operate the system OK ?
Have you tried several new codes or only one ?

Check the procedure....
Enter your existing 4 digit code.
The Unset light will flash.
Press Prog
All the zone lights will illuminate
Enter 6 0
All the zone lights turn off
Enter your new 4 digit code.
Zone lights 1,2, 3 and 4 will illuminate in turn as each digit of the new code is entered.
Press Prog
The system will chime to confirm the new code has been accepted and all the zone lights will illuminate. Press reset
The system will return to unset and all the zone lights will turn off.
