How to I remove the clutch housing so I can get to the rope starter. I cannot get the housing off till I take of the clutch. While trying to start it, the robe pulled out but would not recoil. Thanks, kk

There is a screw inside the female piece that drives the shaft. I had to go buy a tx20 screwdriver, and then it came out easily. Then the clutch assembly has to come apart--I had to spread it apart with pliers, but then it spins freely off.

Good luck. I should've bought a Stihl.
