can anyone tell me which cable provider covers newport as my v max box with recently downloaded software works fine in bristol v....m, but not in newport, are the mhz start/stop figs at fault !, any suggestions cheers.

try changing the symbol rate to or from 6887 to 6952, try scanning the box again useing one of them rates at a time, see what one of them workes in newport, or if anybody liveing in newport reading this , might give you the symbol rate for there, the mhz should read from 100 mhz to 870 mhz, for radio and tv , i would work on the different symbol rates first, mick
