My Hoover A class is not freezing although the fridge part is ok- can I fix it?

Try defrosting fully first. With some freezers, the freezing element itself gets covered in ice so it "thinks" that it is at the right temperature, whereas the bulk of the freezing compartment is a lot warmer. Try removing the internal panels of the freezer to see what I mean.

I have no experience of Hoover freezers ... but the above is fairly generic.
