Our washer is only 18 months old. The dial that selects the wash programme does not appear to be working. The washer washes even when the dial is turned to the off position. The door light never turns off. We have to turn the washer off to turn the light out. I have phoned indesit who say it will be £99.98 for a one off repair or £15.90 per month for 10 months for a repair and 12 months guarantee. My husband says we can get a new washer for almost the same price. Can someone help.

Can we buy the module anywhere and fit it ourselves?

hi,i have the same problem,my washer has had the main board replaced four times under the twelves month warranty,it has now happened again fifteen months on.it seems to be a common bad fault with these machines.i find it to be a very bad machine and poor service from hotpoint/indesit.i have read somewhere that one of the relays on the main board maybe sticking.
