How Can i fix the Engine Cooling Fan On My MK IV Ford Fiesta?

The Cooling Fan HAs packed in on my FOrd Fiesta causing the engine to overheat if the car is stood for a while. Is this a serious problem or a fairly minor one and how can i fix it.

there should be an electrical plug on the radiator somewhere...unplug it and bridge the connections (ignition live) with a piece of wire...if the fan kicks in it is the switch in the radiator...if not the fan is duff...but would change the switch anyway....available at most parts centres...dont forget to check fuse first...if all this fails then look at the fan relay in fusebox

check the fuse on top of the battery or in the main fuse box for the fan. if the fuse is not faulty, it could be the fan switch or the motor itself. :)
