How can I get into my bedroom when thehandle has come off and the barrel is not connecting with the latch?

if you are on outside of the door and it opens inwards,cut a 3" square of plastic from a fizzy drinks bottle then push door so theres a small gap,take the small sqare and feed it inyo the gap where the latch is and after few attempts it should open.hope this helps
