Can Corian countertop be extended?

We have new Corian countertops and now realize when the new drawer fronts are installed the overhang which should have been 1.5" will be .5" - .7". Can the new tops be extended with a splice of 1"?

Yes though you need to watch the batch numbers for exact match .Either way it is not cheap and not may fitters will want to tackle it .Best to go back to original fitters and find it they will do it and if they have any peices if original , if they were the ones whom fabricated it .

First get in touch with the worktop suppliers and find out what type of splash back they do for that worktop at the same time explaining why and they may come up with the solution of a ready made splash back the same thickness as the worktop and approx 3inch or 75mm high. Or you could obtain more of the seal strip that usually comes with worktops and make your own up.

If you wish email robertwhiting76@hotmail.com
I will send drawings of how I did mine as it's easier than trying to clearly explaining.
