It`s reading SAFE because too many wrong codes have been entered and so it has become locked.
To reset , leave switched ON UNDISTURBED and it should reset itself . Could take several hours so may have to leave it overnight.
Make sure that you have the correct code by asking a nEW question quoting ALL the SERIAL NUMBERS on the radio casing.
