I need to change the spark plugs on a 1997 escort zetec.however no matter how i try i cant budge any of the rubber boots which seal into the rocker cover.Is there a tool i need or do i pull to destruction!!
I have the same engine, twist the boots slightly to break the seal and then pull up. They are air tight which is why they are so hard to pull out. Be careful not to pull on the cords.
