ford galaxy electric sunroof?

my electric sunroof will tilt up when i push the button,but when i use the button to slide it right back it wont open & just makes a clicking noise.Could it be the motor thats faulty?If so why does the tilt still open & close?

Hi pete there are usually 2 motors for the sun roof, 1 for the tilt and 1 to open it fully. Sounds like the second motor is working hence the click but has become "disengaged" from the drive mechanism. It does mean stripping the roof to find out so good luck.
