how to fix personal word processor sharp PAW1410?

will not read disk told to use ds/hd floppy disk
still will not work wonder if it is disk drive
and if they are the same as computer

It is to do with the disc, not the drive, I think. My original disc failed and nothing else has worked since - although I have only tried two different discs. I am sure it will be to do with the type of floppy disc used.
